Cardi B has officially announced that her first single of the year, titled “Outside,” will be released on June 20. She shared the news on Instagram, writing: “We OUTSIDE this Friday,” and posted artwork showing a summer sidewalk with water gushing from a fire hydrant.
The track is anticipated to reference her breakup with Offset, as an earlier leaked clip featured her saying: “I’ve been cuffed up too long, let me remind n-ggas.”

The same preview also includes Cardi referencing Stefon Diggs, wide receiver for the New England Patriots, with the line: “Your favorite player on your favorite team, he in my DM.”
Cardi recently opened up about the struggles in her past relationship with Offset, stating that their situation had severely affected her mental health. Speaking on X Spaces, she explained: “I don’t think people understand how tired I was … I was mentally drained. Couldn’t eat—I was getting frequent headaches. I was literally losing my mind. I gave [him] chances after chances.”
She continued: “If I was still there, I was gonna end up going to jail. Cause I was gonna end up killing him, seriously, with my own bare hands. It was just getting too much.”
After Cardi was spotted in a romantic setting with Diggs on a yacht, including a moment where she danced on him while he spanked her, Offset responded on social media with apparent sarcasm about the relationship’s authenticity, stating: “Good roll out n PR.”
The couple’s ongoing divorce, which began shortly before the birth of their third child, includes Offset’s request for both joint custody and spousal support.
