Conservative activist and Donald Trump supporter Candace Owens escalated her feud with Cardi B this week, posting a series of tweets and making an appearance on Fox News, denigrating the rapper. The “WAP” star had gone on Instagram live on Sunday night explaining to her followers why she won’t stop speaking out against Trump and encouraging fans to vote in the Nov. 3 presidential election.

The rapper’s comments came following a social media throwdown with Owens, who taunted Cardi about her recent interview with Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, who Owens suggested — along with Sen. Bernie Sanders — had “used” Cardi and didn’t actually like her music. Cardi had a series of snappy responses, and on Tuesday (Sept. 8), the feud hit a new peak.

Owens told the Fox’s Tucker Carlson in a live segment Tuesday that the rapper “could not obviously argue with me from an intellectual standpoint.” The Blackout author — who also posted a few clips to of the segment to her Instagram Stories — called the artist’s interview with Biden “pure puppetry,” and claimed Cardi “is barely literate” and “knows virtually nothing about politics.” The conservative commentator later added, “She ended up deleting her nine posts to me because even her fans were telling her, ‘Tap out.'”

One day earlier, Owens gloated that she’d won the fight already, kicking off with the tweet, “To those asking — no, I was not invited to speak at Cardi B’s funeral.” She followed that with a Photoshopped image of Owens as Michael Jordan dunking, with the message, “She is still tweeting about me. I broke @iamcardib.”

Cardi brought the receipts, though, re-posting a 2018 tweet from Owens proving that “she been knew I was that girlllll,” courtesy of a list Owens wrote under the title, “You guys want my other predictions for the black revolution of free thoughts?” with Cardi coming in at No. 2 under Denzel Washington. “@iamcardib (been watching her since Love & Hip-Hop. She doesn’t pay attention to politics but if she did she would be a Kanye mindset. She believes in freedom,” Owens wrote in April that year.

The onslaught continued, with Cardi re-tweeting a fan’s compilation of the times Owens has been “obsessed” with Cardi via some other old tweets. Cardi also re-tweeted a comment from N.Y. Rep. Ritchie Torres, who wrote, “thank you @iamcardib for exposing @RealCandaceO for the fraud that she is. You make the Bronx proud!” Torres’ tweet included a barb from Cardi launched in the middle of her Sunday afternoon back-and-forth with Owens.

“Yes you are right I have the number 1 song & I have a huge platform and I can make millions go vote to get the MAN THAT USED YOU,” Cardi wrote in response to Owens saying that Biden “‘gotta talk’ to you because you have the number 1 song and Santa Claus was harassing your sister?” She was seemingly referring to what Cardi earlier claimed was harassment by MAGA supporters against her younger sister, Hennessy Carolina, and her girlfriend.

“I don’t want to argue with you Candace I really don’t have the time .I honestly just feel sorry for you,” Cardi wrote before shooting a more vicious dart with a picture from February of conservative duo Diamond and Silk, comedian Terrence Williams and other figures standing around Trump and laying their hands on the president’s shoulders. “This what PANDERING looks like,” Cardi said. “I will never praise no politician not even Obama,FDR or Bernie ONLY THE LORD !This is how Trump panders with black people while Candice concerns how Joe panders with me.”
