Boosie Badazz has accused a prosecutor of being racist after being re-indicted in his San Diego gun case.
The case against Boosie had recently been dismissed but less than two weeks later, he is again facing the same charge of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a felon in interstate commerce.
The Baton Rouge native has also been hit with an additional charge of knowingly possessing a firearm while dealing with abuse of a controlled substance.
The new indictment shows that prosecutors are doubling down on the allegations against Boosie and seek to seize “all firearms and ammunition involved in the commission of the offenses.”
The 41-year-old rapper also faces the potential of up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
Boosie did not take the news of his re-indictment well, lashing out on social media.

“WHY YOU DIDNT CHARGE ME WITH THAT THE FIRST TIME? THE JUDGE HAS RULED. AT THIS POINT YOU MAKING THIS A CIRCUS. THIS HAS TO BE UNCONSTITUTIONAL. THIS SHOWS HOW FAR THESE DEVILS WILL GO TO TRY N STOP A SUCCESSFUL BLACK MAN WITH a VOICE .THIS MAN HAS A SERIOUS VENDETTA OF HATE AGAINST ME .HE WANTS TO BE A CHARACTER N A [movie] HE JUST DOESNT RESPECT THE COURTS.”
Boosie went on to accuse the prosecutor of being racist: “HE RACIST N HAS NO RESPECT FOR THE COURTS‼️ IF I WASNT BOOSIE THIS WOULD NOT BE HAPPENING TO ME .THIS SAME MAN LOOKED AT ME SAID ‘WIPE ME DOWN’ ON MY FIRST COURT APPEARANCE lol HES OBSESSED.
“IVE NEVER SEEN NOTHING LIKE THIS N MY DAM LIFE. 30 of us ON VACATION N I GET THIS NEWS‼️ HE PUT HIS HARDEST BATTLES ON HIS STRONGEST SOUJAS ‘GOD GOT ME.’”
He ended his rant by asking for a presidential pardon: “THIS MAN DOSENT RESPECT THE LAW. TELL A PRESIDENT PARDON THIS BULLSHIT.”
Boosie Badazz’s gun case stems from June 2023 when he was arrested in San Diego while exiting a courtroom after just having a separate gun case dismissed by the court.
Prosecutors originally wanted to keep the “Wipe Me Down” hitmaker locked up until trial, but he was bonded out with the charges later dismissed before re-indictment.
