NEW YORK, NY – It appears up-and-coming Los Angeles rap star Blueface doesn’t know he’s signed to multiple labels. The concerning revelation comes during his Wednesday (January 30) appearance on The Breakfast Club.
When Breakfast Club hosts DJ Envy, Charlamagne the God and Angela Yee probe about Blue’s relationship to Wack 100 and his deal with Cash Money West, the Famous Cryp seemed to be clueless about the other labels handling his young career.
“All I know is Cash Money West and Wack 100,” Blue answers. “It could be…You gotta ask Wack about the other people involved.”
When asked if he looked at the paperwork, the rap sensation says he did and reiterates Cash Money West is all he knows.
Wack 100 and Birdman both run Cash Money Record’s imprint label Cash Money West. For distribution, CMB utilizes Republic Records which basically means Universal Music Group is also part of the deal.
The buzz surrounding Blue has placed all eyes on him since the release of his viral cut “Bleed It,” last year.
So far, the rising 22-year-old has been the recipient of a cool co-sign from Drake and landed his first Hot 100 hit with the banger “Thotiana.”
Also during his interview, Blueface confirms another “Thotiana” remix is on the way with not only YG but with French Montana and Cardi B as well.
Additionally, Blueface Bleed ‘Em confirms his song with Drake is also finished.
