Beyoncé surprised fans with the release of her Netflix Homecoming special followed by an accompanying 40-track album that includes the previously unreleased Baddie Bey track “Before I Let Go.”
To commemorate its existence, Bey sparked the #BeforeILetGoChallenge and used Instagram’s story feature for the first time to kick it off.
Though the track was unexpected, it was welcomed with open arms by the Bey Hive and is sure to be played at the family cookout and Sunday brunches across the globe this summer.
“Before I Let Go” takes its cue from Frankie Beverly and Maze‘s 1981 hit and is remixed with Cameo’s 1986 song “Candy” for an irresistible New Orleans Bounce vibe.
On the track, the R&B superstar encourages listeners to participate in a series of dance moves and the challenge features dancers putting their own twist to each step.
Queen Bey reposted about nine minutes worth of videos featuring fans dancing along to every word.
