Offset turned 27 on Friday (December 14) and instead of a new Lamborghini or Rolex Daytona, he had a more personal request for his birthday gift — Cardi B. The Migos rapper sent out a special message to his now-estranged wife via Instagram, begging for her forgiveness.
“I only got one birthday wish and that’s to get my wife back, Cardi,” he says in the video. “We going through a lot of things, a lot of things in the media. I want to apologize to you Cardi. I know I embarrassed you. I made you look crazy, doing things I had no business partaking in, activities I shouldn’t taking in. And I apologize for breaking your heart, breaking our promise, breaking God’s promise and being a selfish, messed up husband.
“I’m trying to be a better person. I want to get this off my shoulders, get this off my back. I apologize to you Cardi. I love you and Kulture, I wanna spend Christmas with you. I want to be able to spend the rest of my life with you. I apologize. I’m sorry for what I’ve done to you. I didn’t fuck that girl, but I was entertaining it and I apologize. I love you and I hope you can forgive me. My birthday wish is just to have you back.”
In the caption, he wrote, “FORGIVE ME @iamcardi b. ALL I WANT FOR MY BIRTHDAY.”
Cardi announced their split on December 4 amid rumors Offset had cheated with a woman named Summer Bunni. Text messages between Offset and Summer revealed he was planning a threesome with Cuban Doll, although Cuban Doll claimed she’d never even talked to the Atlanta-bred rapper.
Offset and Cardi were secretly married last September, and their daughter Kulture was born in July. Following the news of their impending divorce, Offset failed to released his solo album as promised. Of course, everyone blamed the project’s delay on Offset’s broken heart.
