A$AP Rocky has added to the buzz surrounding his long-awaited Don’t Be Dumb album with a cryptic tweet that could potentially be an announcement for its release.
On Tuesday (August 1), Rocky took to Twitter and simply tweeted: “AWGEST.”
AWGE is the name of the Harlem rapper’s creative agency, which he founded in 2014 and stands for A$AP Worldwide Greatness Entertainment. But to the naked eye, it reads as “August,” which signals that his new album could be released this month.
If this is the case, then Pretty Flacko joins a slew of other artists dropping new projects this month, including Trippie Redd (A Love Letter to You 5, out August 4), Yo Gotti and DJ Drama (I Showed U So, out August 4), Benny The Butcher (Everybody Can’t Go, out August 11) and Quavo (Rocket Power, out August 18).
Drake’sFor All the Dogs is also expected to arrive in the coming weeks, as he’s promised fans during recent stops on his It’s All a Blur Tour.

A$AP Rocky has been busy in recent months releasing singles to promote Don’t Be Dumb. In July, he delivered the militant “RIOT (Rowdy Pipe’n)”, which was co-produced by himself and Pharrell.
Throughout the accompanying video, the A$AP Mob leader plays the role of a general as he galvanizes his troops and leads soldiers into battle — all the while draped in typically fly threads.
The 34-year-old made headlines when the track initially hit streaming services as he spurred marriage rumors with Rihanna by referring to the beauty mogul as his wife.
“My wife is erotic, I’m smokin’ exotic/My whip is exotic, my crib is a cottage/A whole lot of cheesе, see we gettin’ that cottage/A wholе lot of brains, I skipped out on college,” he rapped.
Within the same month, Rocky debuted a handful of other songs from Don’t De Dumb at Rolling Loud Miami — one of which seemingly contained a shot at Travis Scott.
Perched above the crowd on a set of metal stairs with several iced-out hair clips in his braids, Pretty Flacko took aim at an unnamed rival while performing a song called “Taylor Swift,” which hears him brag about stealing their “bitch” as payback for biting his style.
“First you stole my flow, so I stole your bitch/ Then you stole my style, I need at least like 10 percent/ All due disrespect, I hope you take offense,” he spit.
In January, A$AP Rocky released the first potential single from Don’t Be Dumb, “Same Problems?” which featured background vocals from Lil Yachty and Miguel.
In a rare interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe at the time, the “Praise the Lord” hitmaker shed more light on Don’t Be Dumb, listing off a few more “heavy-hitters” that will appear on the album.
“We got some help from a lot of friends there. We got Miguel, we got Tyler, The Creator, we got Lil Yachty here, we got Thundercat,” he said. “Those are some heavy-hitters.”
