Like many others, Wendy Williams took her talk show home as the COVID-19 pandemic began its 2020 rampage, inviting the audience into her $4.5 million New York City penthouse apartment. But according to The Sun, the veteran media personality suffered a particularly embarrassing incident that May, roughly a year after her split from ex-husband Kevin Hunter.
Sources who were supposedly in Williams’ home at the time said the intoxicated talk show host was found naked in her room and masturbating while screaming “vulgar comments.” Health workers were reportedly called to the scene and she was promptly transported to the hospital where she remained for weeks.
In the interim, celebrities such as Fat Joe and Remy Ma temporarily took over hosting duties for The Wendy Williams Show as she worked on her mental health. Understandably, sources added Williams “does not want to associate with anybody who was [at her house] that day,” and “everyone knows not to get too close to Wendy.” They also mentioned that “[being in her life] will backfire, and when it does, you’ll get burned.”
50 Cent, who’s typically first in line with jokes whenever Williams is facing some kind of controversy, is oddly quiet on the latest Wendy Williams headline. Williams has faced plenty of controversy over the last few years. In March 2021, NBA YoungBoy’s mother dragged Williams for bringing up his last arrest during the show’s popular “Hot Topics” segment.
As Wendy Williams talked about the case, she appeared to sham the 21-year-old rapper for putting others in danger during his dramatic foot pursuit and insisted “he’s got to go to jail.” But YoungBoy’s mother fired back on social media, writing, “Fuck Wendy Williams around here letting a 90 year old white man suck her dick worried about my child. Stop tagging me in bullshit.”
