SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Rick Ross has been dangling the Port Of Miami 2: Born To Kill album in front of his fans for months. After his health scare temporarily derailed his momentum in March, Ross is seemingly back in action.
On Tuesday (July 31), The Boss announced an album release party will be held on Friday (August 3) at San Francisco’s 1015 Folsom nightclub, propelling rumors the project is inching closer to seeing the light of day.
The Instagram post features a flyer with a sketch of Ross’ head and the words: “Friday August 3rd Rick Ross Full Live Show Port Of Miami 2 Album Release Party.”
He captioned it with, “#BayArea pull up this Friday!! Boss live @officialbelaire @iconcannabis.”
Last month, Ross teamed up with Dave East for the “Fresh Prince Of Belaire” video and dropped “Green Gucci Suit” featuring Future at the 2018 BET Awards After Party in June.
The original Port Of Miami was released in 2006 and spawned the massive single “Hustlin’.” The album was certified gold by the RIAA in November of that year and went platinum on July 28, 2016.
Port Of Miami 2 will mark the follow-up to 2017’s Rather You Than Me.
Atlantic Records and Maybach Music Group’s Twitter accounts haven’t mentioned a release date for Port Of Miami 2 at the time of publication. The only mention Ross has made to August 3 is in relation to the Instagram flyer.
