October 1 officially marks the start of the Halloween season, and Iggy Azalea proved she was ready with a deliciously wicked, Disney-inspired TikTok.
In the clip, the rapper first appears as Cinderella, flicking her magic wand to a stuttering sample of Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ “I Put a Spell on You.” As a ghostly voice declares “I see dead people,” a black-gloved hand grabs Azalea by the throat, slamming her into the camera as she transforms into Maleficent.
“Sep 30 vs. Oct 1,” the rapper captioned her video along with a series of skull, bat and spider emojis. The TikTok post also reveals a yet-unreleased verse by the star, in which she raps, “Drama without a doubt/ Talkin’ s–t, got a potty mouth/ All-star pussy will knock you out/ All-star like meal at a Waffle House.”
In a separate live video, Azalea also showed off a behind-the-scenes peek at the making of her Maleficent-inspired look, enjoying a slice of pizza as she got her dark makeup done.
In late August, the new mom announced the title of her upcoming third studio album, End of an Era, which is tentatively set for release in late 2020 via Bad Dreams Records. The LP, which serves as a follow-up to her 2019 EP Wicked Lips, will feature lead single “Dance Like Nobody’s Watching.”
