New York, NY – Aaron “Bat” Young, who pleaded guilty to racketeering conspiracy in April, was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Monday (December 2). According to Complex, Young received the harshest sentencing yet in the Tekashi 6ix9ine-related case that’s brought down multiple Nine Trey Gangsta Blood members.
Before pleading guilty to racketeering conspiracy, Young was also facing a firearms charge and accused of narcotics trafficking for dealing heroin and fentanyl.
He was reportedly part of a deal with fellow Nine Trey member Kristian “CEO Kris” Cruz that involved dealing fentanyl and spraying some with vinegar to be sold as heroin. Cruz — and 6ix9ine — testified about the gang’s activity at the recent trial of Anthony “Harv” Ellison and Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack.
Young, 38, also shot a fellow Nine Trey member named Shane “Snow Billy” Hardy in January 2018. Hardy survived, but Cruz revealed why the shooting went down in his testimony.
“He played a recording and in the recording you hear Snow talking about how he wanted to have his cousins pretend to be police officers and kidnap me,” Cruz said, according to Complex. “Then he said that he wanted to kill Mel Murda, a whole bunch of stuff. He said that he had to shoot him.”
6ix9ine, the next defendant up in the case, will be sentenced on December 18. Other notable figures in the Nine Trey racketeering case such as 6ix9ine’s ex-manager Kifano “Shotti” Jordan and Jamel “Mel Murda” Jones have been sentenced to over 10 years in prison
