Drake honored Ozzy Osbourne during a performance in Birmingham, England, where he entered the stage to the sound of Black Sabbath’s well-known song “Iron Man.”
Addressing the audience, he said: “Hey Birmingham! Rest in peace to the legendary Ozzy Osbourne.”
Earlier that same day, Drake took part in a local ceremony commemorating the heavy metal icon and poured out tequila in his memory.

In an interview with The New York Times, Drake stated: “I just came out to pay respects to someone who lived it to the fullest.”
T-Pain also offered his respects to Osbourne, who passed away at the age of 76 earlier in the week.
Back in 2023, T-Pain performed a rendition of the Black Sabbath frontman’s song “War Pigs,” which was met with praise from Osbourne.
Osbourne shared online: “This is the best cover of ‘War Pigs’ ever. Why didn’t you guys call me?”
T-Pain answered: “You’re always invited. Top of the list, every time!! Thank you so much. Means a lot coming from the greatness himself.”
Reflecting on Osbourne’s death, T-Pain remembered their short online exchange and honored the legendary metal artist.
He wrote on X: “Heartbroken by the news. I was blessed to be able to cover War Pigs and get your recognition. Ozzy Forever.”
Osbourne died only a few weeks after his final live appearance, which took place in Birmingham, his hometown.
His family released a message saying: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love.”
There is no official information yet on the cause of death for the musician, who helped found Black Sabbath and later enjoyed a four-decade solo career, with his last album arriving in 2022.
Later in his career, Ozzy gained further fame on television through MTV’s The Osbournes, a series that featured his family and helped inspire other family-based reality shows like Hogan Knows Best.
