Kendrick Lamar might finally respond to Joey Bada$$, according to hints dropped by Glasses Malone.
Malone, who received a shout-out from Kendrick during his Grammy speech earlier this year, believes that the Compton rapper won’t stay silent in the face of the repeated attacks from Joey, who’s from New York.
Speaking on Joey’s latest diss directed at Kendrick’s Crash Dummy moniker, Malone commented: “Joey know sure as shit bars are coming his way. When is the question.”
On his track “Crash Dummy”, Joey directly accused Kendrick of avoiding a lyrical battle, spitting: “Thank you for making it clear that Dot scared, but yeah / I was at the party, but I also saw Top there.”

Joey had previously gone even harder on “My Town”, calling himself “the real boogeyman” and declaring: “I’m the real boogeyman, y’all n-ggas should be afraid / Get the general, I’m killing his troops.”
He followed that up with another punchline: “Don’t make me Pulitzer, better be wise because / I’m dottin T’s and cross your eyes like Whitaker.”
Even though he appears to be pushing for a response from Kendrick, Joey has mostly been trading shots with TDE affiliates Rey Vaughn and Daylyt.
In his recent diss “The Finals”, Joey gives Kendrick a nod while issuing a challenge: “I salute you Kenny but I know you well aware / You lookin’ for some competition? Then just know that I’ll be right here.”
Though aimed mainly at Vaughn, the track also features more aggressive bars: “The way you let Dot dick sit in your mouth / This that same dick linkin’ I was talkin’ about / You n-ggas would do anything for the clout / Crash out over n-ggas who won’t even let you in they house / I bet you ain’t even got his number/It’s funny how the thirst is bein’ disguised as hunger.”
This back-and-forth stems from Joey’s initial declaration of lyrical war on the West Coast in January, when he dropped “The Ruler’s Back”.
On that track, he raps: “Too much West Coast dick lickin’ / I’m hearing n-ggas throwin’ rocks, really ain’t shit stickin’ / ‘Cause if we’re talking bar for bar, really it’s slim pickings / I rap like I draw pentagrams and kill chickens, n-gga / Fuck around with your soul like Ether, quick for a feature / This that black Air Force energy comin’ out your speaker.”
