Kendrick Lamar has made history once again by achieving the highest-grossing concert ever performed by a Black male artist, either as a headliner or co-headliner. This milestone was reached during his Grand National Tour alongside SZA on April 26 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, where the show generated an astounding $11.822 million in revenue in a single evening. This surpassed the previous record held by The Weeknd, whose 2022 show at SoFi Stadium brought in $9.8 million.

In addition to this achievement, Kendrick Lamar and SZA recently matched a long-standing chart record originally set by Diddy and Faith Evans nearly three decades ago. Their collaborative track, “Luther,” has remained at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for 11 consecutive weeks, equaling the 1997 hit “I’ll Be Missing You” for the most weeks at No. 1 among male and female duet partners billed as solo artists. It also marks the longest run at the top of the charts for both Kendrick and SZA individually.
Kendrick has been consistently setting new benchmarks throughout the year. When the Grand National Tour opened in Minneapolis, it recorded over $9.1 million in ticket sales, attended by more than 47,000 fans with an average ticket price of $192.70. This opening night surpassed Eminem’s previous record for the highest-grossing rap concert, making Kendrick the new holder of the top spot for a single Hip Hop show. His performance also became the first rap concert in history to exceed the $9 million mark.
Looking ahead, Kendrick Lamar is set to headline Australia’s Spilt Milk festival in December. After a break in 2024, the festival will return with shows across Ballarat/Wadawurrung, Perth/Whadjuk, Canberra/Ngunnawal, and Gold Coast/Kombumerri. He will be joined by fellow TDE artists Doechii and ScHoolboy Q, as well as other popular acts including Euphoria actor Dominic Fike, viral sensation Nessa Barrett, and rising star d4dv.
The Spilt Milk festival kicks off on December 6 and wraps up with its final performance on December 14.
