Kendrick Lamar’s mural in Compton has been vandalized once more, sparking an intense reaction from the artist who created it.
The artwork, which shows three different images of the rapper, was damaged with red and blue spray paint, and one of the portraits was completely covered up.
This marks the third time the mural has been defaced since Kendrick started his feud with Drake earlier this year.
Sloe Motions, the artist behind the mural, responded to the vandalism on his Instagram Stories, writing: “Blacking out Kendrick’s face only made this worse, I don’t understand what homey was thinking.”

He had previously spoken about the defacement and Kendrick’s reaction, sharing in another Instagram post: “Of course we were pissed and wanted to fix it but it just kept getting worse. Flash forward to today and Kendrick drops a song about the situation.
“It doesn’t necessarily make it ok but it does feel good to have our hard work for the community immortalized in a song by one of the greatest to ever do it. Thank you @kendricklamar for making this situation a little better today.”
Kendrick addressed the vandalism in his song “wacced out murals,” the powerful opening track from his latest album GNX.
“Yesterday, somebody wacced out my mural / That energy’ll make you n-ggas move to Europe / But it’s regular for me, yeah, that’s for sure / The love and hate is definite without a cure / All this talk is bitch-made, that’s on my Lord / I’ll kill ’em all before I let ’em kill my joy / I done been through it all, what you endure?” he rapped.
In other news, Lamar recently received an apology from Snoop Dogg, who unintentionally became involved in his feud with Drake after the 6 God used A.I. to mimic Snoop’s voice in his “Taylor Made Freestyle” diss track.
Tha Doggfather shared the track on social media but later admitted he didn’t realize the implications and reached out to Kendrick after hearing that his “Institutionalized” collaborator was upset.
“I deleted it, called [Kendrick], left him a message ’cause he ain’t pick up, he was working on his shit. ‘Nephew, it’s Uncle Snoop. I got the message. I apologize, I was fucked up. My bad,’” he told Bootleg Kev.
