Drake has delivered a bold message to those who have dismissed him after his perceived setback against Kendrick Lamar in their well-known feud.
On his 38th birthday, Thursday (October 24), Drake shared a photo on Instagram featuring him and his mother, Sandra Graham, both holding stacks of cash during the festivities.
In his caption, Drake notably stated: “They pictured me dead but that was just imagination. one more year pon dem.”
This message indicates that the 6 God is far from finished with those who wrote him off and turned against him in his “20 vs. 1” battle involving Kendrick, Metro Boomin, Rick Ross, and others.
One rapper who has consistently supported Drake is Sexyy Red, who gave a heartfelt birthday shoutout to her “Rich Baby Daddy” on social media.
“Happy Birthday to one of the nicest most humblest person I kno [heart hands emojis] LOVE U BD ENJOY YO MONTH [red tear drop emoji] [confetti emoji],” the “SkeeYee” star wrote on Instagram.
Her post included various photos showcasing her and Drake’s unexpected friendship that has flourished over the past year, including one of him holding her pregnant belly and another of him kissing her cheek.
Drake celebrated his 38th birthday in Houston, Texas, on Wednesday night (October 23).
Footage from the celebration showed Drake enjoying drinks with his parents, Dennis and Sandra Graham, as he received a large “1986” sparkling birthday cake—celebrating the year he was born.
Another video captured moments at a Houston strip club where the birthday boy reportedly spent over $50,000.
To mark his birthday, Drake also offered free food at Dave’s Hot Chicken, the restaurant he co-owns.
This promotion was available at any of the fast food chain’s locations and marked the third time the rap star had partnered with them to provide free chicken on his birthday.
